Pastor

Picture
Pastor Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the age of 7 and followed the Lord’s call to preach on January 12, 1992 at Liberty Baptist Church in Mooresville. While there he began to work with youth. He has been serving in ministry for over 33 years with a deep passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  For the last 18 years, he’s been serving as Youth Pastor at Ostwalt Baptist Church in Troutman, NC.  He and his family have served faithfully in many capacities while at Ostwalt and are looking forward to the new chapter ahead at Countryside Baptist Church.

Kevin grew up just down the road in Mooresville, NC. Pastor Kevin is a proud graduate of South Iredell High School and has been in the electrical trade for 35+ years. He has served in various ministry roles including youth ministry, discipleship, and community outreach before stepping into the role of pastor.

Kevin and his wife, Robin, have been married for 31 years and have two adult children, Ashtyn and Austin. Together, they love serving in ministry and attempt to honor the Lord in how they walk out this life as a family.  Pastor Kevin loves the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing. When asked to describe his “happy place” outside of church and his home, you could find him hunting in the southern Virginia mountains or catfishing the Yadkin River chain of lakes.

Pastor Kevin’s vision is to see Countryside Baptist Church be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds feel welcomed, encounter the love of Christ, and are equipped to live out their faith every day.
